About Us Welcome to Housden Photography, a full service family owned photographic studio serving the entire Shenandoah Valley and beyond. Housden Photography was started by Ralph & Pat Housden in 1976 and has since been joined by their children, Chris Housden who is in charge of the digital department and Teresa Housden-Rizzi who is currently a photographer in St. Petersburg , Florida . Chris is also a Commercial Pilot and is qualified to do aerial photographs. The Harrisonburg studio was opened in 1996 on University Blvd. The current location on Port Republic Rd. was purchased in 1999. We are situated in a beautiful wooded area, just outside the city limits of Harrisonburg . Our camera room is one of the largest camera rooms on the East Coast, which makes it easier to handle large groups. We have many props and backgrounds to make your portrait unique, or will come to the home for a more personalized portrait. We are Designers of Photographic Fine Art, with a promise in excellence. We are a value driven studio and are committed to photographic excellence while preserving your cherished photographic family heritage.
